Order Florida load calcs from your agent.

Florida Load Calcs exposes an MCP server, a JSON API with OpenAPI 3.1 and an ACP feed. Agents get exact prices from the same code as our calculator and create orders that return a secure checkout link the human pays. No captcha; rate limited.

What you can do

Agents can read our prices, get an exact quote with the delivery window, look up a county’s building-department notes, and create an order that returns a secure checkout link for the human buyer. Prices come from the same code as the calculator on our homepage, so they always match. No captcha on quote or order paths; we use rate limits and card-fraud screening instead.

MCP server

Streamable HTTP (JSON responses) at https://floridaloadcalcs.com/mcp. Tools: get_pricing, get_quote, county_requirements, create_plan_upload, complete_plan_upload, create_order, order_status. Discovery: /.well-known/mcp.json.

REST API

OpenAPI 3.1: /openapi.json (also listed in /.well-known/api-catalog).

curl -s https://floridaloadcalcs.com/api/v1/pricing

curl -s -X POST https://floridaloadcalcs.com/api/v1/quote \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"package":"full","sqft":3200,"systems":1,"speed":"standard","county":"Lee"}'

curl -s -X POST https://floridaloadcalcs.com/api/v1/orders \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Idempotency-Key: 6f1c9a2e-order-1" \
  -d '{"quote":{"package":"sealed","sqft":3200,"systems":2,"speed":"expedited"},
       "contact":{"name":"Dana Reyes","email":"dana@example.com"},"upload_ids":["upl_…"],
       "project":{"address":"1420 Palm Ct, Fort Myers, FL"},"inputs":{"windows":"schedule"}}'
# → { "id":"ord_…", "status":"awaiting_payment", "total":920, "checkout_url":"https://checkout…" }

Order status: GET /api/v1/orders/{id} returns status, totals and the delivery window only, never personal details. The id is unguessable; treat it like a token.

Rules for agents

  • Plans are required to order. Upload a PDF or DWG (POST /api/v1/uploads → PUT → complete) or pass a public plan_url. We read the conditioned area and AC systems from the plans.
  • Before payment we check what the energy calc needs. Critical: a readable plan, the address or front orientation, and window information. Missing any → 422 critical_inputs_missing with error.missing. Walls and ducts default to code minimum.
  • Quote only from get_quote/get_pricing. Over 6,000 sq ft or 3+ systems is state: custom: say we’ll confirm the price.
  • Payments are always made by the human buyer on a secure checkout page. We accept no card data and store no cards.
  • Send an Idempotency-Key (or idempotency_key in MCP) when creating orders so retries never double-order.
  • Only send sms_consent.opt_in: true if the person ticked the text-message consent themselves. It is optional and never needed to order.
  • Rate limits: 60 requests/min per IP for quotes, 10/min for orders (higher with a partner X-API-Key). A 429 includes Retry-After.
  • Florida only. Building departments decide what they accept; never promise approval.

Delivery windows

Standard: 2–3 business days. Expedited: within 24 business hours (+$150), the same clock time on the next business day. The clock starts when complete plans pass intake: before 3:00 PM ET on a business day it starts then; after 3:00 PM, on weekends or holidays it starts at 9:00 AM ET the next business day. Holidays are listed in /api/v1/pricing.

Agentic Commerce Protocol

Product feed and ACP checkout endpoints (spec 2026-01-30) are built and run in test mode: https://floridaloadcalcs.com/acp/feed.json and /acp/checkout_sessions. They are not enabled for production until merchant onboarding is approved.
