Permitted fast.
For HVAC contractors, Florida Load Calcs prepares the Manual J, S and D and the energy calc your permit needs, from $195 for the energy calc or $445 for the full package, delivered in 2–3 business days once intake passes. Equipment is selected from expanded data inside the code's 1.15 cooling ceiling, so the nameplate and the calc agree.
Change-outs and new systems
Some counties want only an AHRI certificate for a like-for-like change-out and Manual J and S for a new install; Pasco writes that line explicitly.2 We prepare whichever your county asks for.
Equipment that matches the calc
We select from the manufacturer’s expanded performance data at design conditions, as the code requires, never the AHRI nominal rating, and keep total cooling capacity at or under 1.15 times the load.1
Heat pumps north of Ocala
Where heating design falls into the 20s and low 30s, we report the heat pump’s capacity at design and size strip heat from the gap.3
Revisions for plan review
Comments on the same design are revised free. Design changes, such as a different unit after a supply problem, are $75 each.
Questions from hvac contractors
Can you match the calc to the equipment I already quoted?
Send the model numbers with the plans. We run Manual J first, then check your equipment against the loads with expanded performance data. If it fits inside the code's limits, the Manual S shows it; if it's oversized, we tell you which size fits before anything is submitted.
Do you prepare calcs for A/C change-outs?
Yes. Requirements differ by county, so tell us what the permit office asked for: some want only an AHRI certificate on a like-for-like change-out, while others ask for Manual J and Manual S on a new installation. Pricing starts at $195 for the energy calc.
