Privacy policy
This policy explains what Florida Load Calcs collects when you price or order Florida energy calcs and Manual J, S & D, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rules for our optional order text messages. We don’t sell your personal information, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
When you get a quote or place an order we collect what you give us: your name, email, phone number (optional), company, project address and county, the plans and documents you upload, and your order details. If you use the ordering assistant, we receive the messages you type or dictate.
We also collect basic technical data needed to run the site securely, such as IP address, browser type and request logs, which we use for rate limiting and fraud prevention.
Payments are handled by our payment processor on its own secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
To price, prepare and deliver your energy calculations and Manual J, S & D; to send receipts, order updates and delivery files; to answer your questions; to keep the site secure and prevent abuse; and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your plans, messages or order data to train AI models.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run Florida Load Calcs, under contract and for these purposes: payment processing (our payment processor), hosting and storage, email delivery (Google Workspace), and the AI model provider that powers the ordering assistant (which receives conversation text, not payment data). We may disclose information when the law requires it.
Building departments receive your documents only when you or your permit runner submit them.
Text messages (SMS)
- Program: Florida Load Calcs, operated by Designda Inc., from (239) 837-1777.
- What we text: messages about your quote, order, plan upload and delivery status, and replies to messages you send us. No marketing texts.
- How you opt in: by ticking the optional text-message box when you order, or by texting us first. Consent is not required to buy anything.
- Message frequency varies with your order (typically a few messages per order).
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time. You will get one confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again.

- No sharing: we do not share or sell mobile information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How long we keep it
We keep order records and delivered documents for as long as needed to support your permit, answer plan-review comments and meet record-keeping requirements for engineering work and taxes. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing hello@floridaloadcalcs.com or calling (239) 837-1777. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. You can use the calculator and published guides without giving us any personal information.
Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, keep secret keys on the server only, limit access to people who need it, and rely on our payment processor for card data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
The site is for contractors, builders and homeowners. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
